Dr. Christian Thum

Christian studied Information Systems with focus on Marketing at the University of Mannheim and the University of Wales, Swansea (UK). After receiving his Diploma in Information Systems in 2009, he worked as a researcher at the Chair in Information Systems III at the University of Mannheim. As a team leader, he managed a large joint research project under participation of the University of Mannheim, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI). The project’s main objective was to create advanced methods and tools for distributed software development that enable small and medium-sized enterprises to use their specific strengths in the face of great economic pressure. During his stay at the University, he additionally researched on web and collaboration technologies and their application in e-commerce. Based on the research findings, he developed a web-based collaboration service for practical use by enterprises. He founded synchronite to market the solution and to transfer his research findings into practice.

Dr. Stefan Seedorf

Stefan studied Information Systems at the University of Mannheim and Lund University. He received his doctoral degree at University of Mannheim in 2010. In his research he combined collaborative technologies and knowledge-based systems to support the software development life-cycle. Stefan has several years’ experience as a project manager in national and international research projects. His main interests include semantic technologies, social software, and E-Commerce. He co-founded synchronite and is responsible for business development and operations.
